Israel fashion art - a new book

Published today is a new book on israeli fashion "Israel fashion art"
Written by Nurit Bat-Yaar,a celebrated fashion journalist.
One of my photographs graces the cover.
This photograph was taken at the beginning of my professional career, straight after finishing my studies in photography and part of a shoot I did for the final project of Shenkar students.
Nurit and the publishers,www.resling.co.il ,chose the picture.
The prologue to the book was written by Alber Elbaz, the artistic director of the Lanvin fashion house and once a student at Shenkar.
We collaborated then on some fashion shoots for the daily Hadashot , and
Alber asked me to do this project for Shenkar.
The model portrayed is Adya Mearchik, the one and only,a real muse.
There is no digital work on this image as its taken directly from the original slide.
The dress was designed by Yaacov Harpaz.
This black and white shot is another co production I did with Alber as the stylist at the end of the 80s.We worked together on the idea and feel of the shot which was called "survivors".Taken at the rubbish dump in Jaffa,at Givat Alyah.(Ajami)
