The church of the Twelve Apostles

 One of the most beautiful churches in Israel is the modest church on the west bank of the Kineret - The church of the Twelve Apostles .
It is said that Jesus chose his apostles on this site .
Very peaceful with a large garden of old and big olive trees.

הכנסייה היוונית אורתודוקסית הקטנה, בעלת הכיפות הוורודות (המשך כביש 87) שמכונה גם כנסיית 12 השליחים. המסורת הנוצרית אומרת שכאן בחר ישו את שליחיו. הפטריארך היווני דמיאנוס הקים אותה בשנות ה-20 ובנה לעצמו בית חורף בצמוד אליה. טווסים משוטטים בחצר, שני נזירים חמורי סבר יושבים בכנסייה וצופים על הקירות המוזהבים, שציורים נאים נשמרו בהם. מרפסת נעימה שצופה על אגם וסוכת גפנים גדולה משלימות מראה שליו במיוחד.
