a photographer's view

My favorite hotel in Jerusalem is St Andrew's Scottish Guest House.

I spent there 3 days this summer when I came to photograph the works of the fresh graduates of the Bezalel Academy of art.
The modest hotel is located right in the center of town , next to all the cafes ,bars ,restaurants and the cinemateque, so in the evening after a day's work you can go easily out where ever you choose and you are not stuck in the bar of your hotel.
Although the place is very central it is extremely quite and has a lovely local garden. The breakfast is great too.
But it is the view - that makes this hotel unique.
From your hotel room you can see one of the most beautiful sights in the world - the walls of the old city of Jerusalem. And they are painted in a different color each hour of the day.

Last month I spent a weekend , with my family, in Jerusalem, and I couldn't help taking this picture from the balcony of our room:

You are welcome to see the work I did for Bezalel on the site of the academy - Miri Davidovitz for Bezalel
