Nibar is a Star

The first time I photographed Nibar, who is named after the late Israeli prime minster Yitzhak Rabin, was about a year ago, and I was really excited about this new emerging model.
Rare face, long limbs, a great collaborator, enthusiastic and intelligent.
For the first shoot we styled her in a classical masculine fashion.

So for the new editorial for Magazina we decided to style her more the way she would dress herself going out:

Now that she has established herself as one of the most successful Israeli models I wanted to show more faces of hers. Sportive,clubber,easygoing...

RIF RAF

This Wednesday opens my new exhibition of photographs from my archives.
Rani , one of the owners of Rif -Raf , the trendy Tel -Aviv bar, ran across my post about Clubbing in the 80's.
He contacted me with a proposal to make a small exhibition at the bar, whose regulars dress much the same as the heroes of my photographs from the 80 's.
I liked the idea very much and agreed immediately.
We scanned a selection of black and white negatives and Rani prepared a series that looks like the eye of a viewer entering a club.
The small series will be displayed on 2 light boxes in the inner room of the bar.

Models in Israel

Fanta Prada is a beautiful Israeli model of Ethiopian origin.
I shot her , in this series of photographs , for an Israeli ad campaign for the American brand - Cheerokee.
The brief of the advertising agency was : "get an international look ,but do it in Israel"
I think we have succeeded.
The blond model is a new comer from Sweden.
Israel is a real melting pot.
Fanta is one of many black beauties that mix with Russian , Moroccan and Sefarady ( Spanish roots ) beauties to creat a local breed of a model.
