Retro style

When we looked for a location for a retro style fashion story for Lady Globes we immediately thought of Retro , the lovely furniture shop located in Yehuda Halevy st in Tel -Aviv.
The shop keeps only real retro furniture and is located in a wonderful Bauhaus building.
The original plan was to shoot outside and in the stairway of the building ,as well as in the shop ,but since the day was so hot we happily cocooned in the beautiful shop.
I will keep the beauty of the Tel -Aviv Bauhaus phenomena for a different occasion.

As dark as possible

For a few days I looked around Tel -Aviv to find a dark street and a bus station without lit up posters.
I finally found it in Jafffa.

RIF RAF

This Wednesday opens my new exhibition of photographs from my archives.
Rani , one of the owners of Rif -Raf , the trendy Tel -Aviv bar, ran across my post about Clubbing in the 80's.
He contacted me with a proposal to make a small exhibition at the bar, whose regulars dress much the same as the heroes of my photographs from the 80 's.
I liked the idea very much and agreed immediately.
We scanned a selection of black and white negatives and Rani prepared a series that looks like the eye of a viewer entering a club.
The small series will be displayed on 2 light boxes in the inner room of the bar.

HOT

It's very hot now.
So I felt so lucky yesterday that we were shooting in air -conditioning ,all day long.
We have found this great location for a new fashion catalog - a huge loft , beutifully designed , and we created 13 different scenes in doors.
For the summer in Tel -Aviv it really is the best idea.

COMME IL FAUT

This picture is from one of my favorite catalogs of Comme il Faut.
I have shot here my friend Michal Puni and her son Tsuf.
The photography style is photo reportage and the idea of the catalog was to show that women can do everything by themselves.
Even change a wheel :)

I saw today the packages I have shot for the frozen pizza of Maadanot at the supermarket.
First I documented it with my cellphone and then bought a few .

TEL DAN

We drove up to Tel Dan in the Galilee to take nature shots.
Tel Dan is one of the sources of the Jordan river.
The water comes from the snow that falls in winter on the Hermon mountain.
So even yesterday ,when it was 35 Celsius degrees ,the temperature of the water was 14.5 , it's permanent temp. Freezing cold.
Yesterday it was a pleasure to dip into it.
The place is a small garden of Eden.
