בצילום הכל חשוב !           י

 

המצולמים, הלוקיישנים, התאורה, המצלמה, ההעמדה, הרעיונות, הבגדים, האביזרים .....     י

 

אבל בצילומים החדשים ל״סודה סטרים״ הדבר החשוב ביותר שעשינו מבחינה צילומית, היה להכין פלטה של צבעים

שלפיה עבדנו.          י

 

כל מה ששמנו בצילומים - הבגדים, האיפור, האביזרים, היו לפי הצבעוניות של הפלטה שיצרנו.          י

 

כשישבנו על הרעיונות לצילומים ושלחנו זה לזו רעיונות נזכרתי שלמרות שאני בד״כ מכוונת למראה מהוקצע

 כשמדובר בצילומי ״לייף סטייל״ מותגים בד״כ רוצים שהאווירה תהיה שמחה וצבעונית.     י

 אין לי שום דבר נגד שמחה וצבעוניות, להפך, אבל אם לא עושים בזה סדר, זה מתכון בדוק למראה מבולגן וזול.            י

 לכן הצעתי שנבנה פלטה של צבעים, שכל חלק מהצילומים צריך להיות ״גזור״ ממנה, מתוך מחשבה שברגע שהכל יהיה בצבעוניות

 שהגדרנו הכל יראה טוב.             י

זה לא רק ״לדבר באותה שפה״ אלא מסגרת די קשוחה שעושה סדר.        י

 

ברצף שלפניכם אתם יכולים לראות את הדיון שהיה לי עם המנהלת הקריאטיבית של הצילומים , זוהר נעמן מ  361 מעלות.         י

את הפלטה הראשונה ביקשתי שתקרר קצת

ודרך השלבים בהמשך הגענו לפלטה הלפני אחרונה שמקובלת על כולם, כולל האנשים מסודה סטרים

אחרי שהורדנו את הצבע הכתום/בריק ש״הצהיל״ מדי את הצבע הכללי, הוספנו שחור כי באחד מהלוקיישנים המטבח היה שחור

זו פלטת הצבעים הסופית שאושרה  ונשלחה לכל הצוות שעבד על הצילומים.               י

טכניקה: בנוסף לצבעוניות, עבדתי בכל הפריימים בעדשה רחבה ובצמצם פתוח.        י
 

עדשה רחבה - כדי לתת לצילומים עומק. שהדמויות המצולמות לא יהיו על משטח אחד ישר למצלמה (כמו בחיים).     י
 

צמצם פתוח - כדי לתת אווירה קצת יותר משוחררת וסנאפשוטית, פחות מדוייקת.        י

פלאשים הוספו מדי פעם מאחור, כדי להאיר את החלל בצורה כללית ולתת לצילום תחושה יותר אוורירית.             י

Stone Matters

Since I am interested and endeavoring to follow modern Palestinian creation,

 I was pleased to find that the Palestinian architects office AAU Anastas,

 (offices in Bethlehem and Paris), 

 designed an extension to the Benedictine Abbey Gift Shop in Abu Ghosh.
We went to check it out.

מאחר ואני מתעניינת ומשתדלת לעקוב אחרי יצירה פלסטינית מודרנית, שמחתי לגלות שמשרד האדריכלים הפלסטיני

שמשרדיו ממוקמים בבית לחם ובפריס, תכנן הרחבה לחנות המתנות של המנזר הבנידיקטני מסביר הפנים, באבו גוש.               י

הלכנו לראות ולהתרשם.            י

To the veteran store, located in the beautiful courtyard of St. Mary's Abbey,
 was added a bright wing, quite surprising in the convent's context,
 which gives a light and airy feel even though the ceiling is made of massive stone masonry. 

לחנות הותיקה השוכנת בחצר היפהפיה של מנזר מארי הקדושה, נוסף אגף מואר ובהיר, די מפתיע בקונטקסט של מנזר, שנותן תחושה קלה ואוורירית למרות שהתקרה עשויה מבניה מסיבית באבן.                 י

 

The expansion of the store, seemingly small but a very interesting project,
 was designed with due respect to the historic context of the monastery,
 built by the Crusaders in the 12th century, entirely of stone.

הרחבת החנות, לכאורה פרויקט קטן אך מעניין מאוד, תוכננה מתוך כבוד להקשר ההיסטורי של המנזר, שנבנה ע״י הצלבנים במאה ה -12, ובנוי כולו מאבן.               י

The architects, Elias Anastas and Yousef Anastas
manifest on their website that one of the design principles guiding them is an attempt to adapt the unique knowledge of Palestinian stone artists, incisors, to contemporary building methods.
Practices that they want to promote in other areas too, such as the furniture factory
Local industries
That they founded in Bethlehem, in 2011.

Anastas, are looking for a way to introduce local creative techniques to their projects.
 The goal of the factory is to offer international customers, functional furniture manufactured by local artisans.
The overarching title is to bring back the value of local Palestinian work without freezing it in a traditional and outdated role or imposing foreign standards on the working method without thought.

Local industries

שהם יסדו בבית לחם, בשנת 2011 .                י              

אנסטס, חיפשו דרך להכניס לעבודותיהם טכניקות יצירה מקומיות. המטרה של המפעל היא להציע ללקוחות בינלאומיים ריהוט פונקציונאלי, המיוצר על ידי אומנים מקומיים.            י

כשכותרת העל היא להחזיר את הערך של עבודה פלסטינית מקומית מבלי להקפיא אותה בתפקיד מסורתי ומיושן או להטיל ללא מחשבה סטנדרטים זרים לשיטת העבודה.        י       

The flat stone vault above the store's extension echoes stone-building techniques inherent in the abbey's architectural history, and the Crusader architecture, in a contemporary manner. 
169 elements of stone were intertwined and placed on massive stone pillars.

קמרון האבן השטוח שמעל להרחבת החנות, מהדהד טכניקות בנייה באבן, הטבועות בהיסטוריה האדריכלית של המנזר

 והאדריכלות הצלבנית באזור, באופן עכשווי. 169 אלמנטים של אבן קלועים זה בזה ומונחים על עמודי אבן מאסיביים.           י

 And in the middle, between the pillars, glass, which lets light pour in and makes the structure lighter.

ובתווך, בין העמודים, זכוכית , שמכניסה אור וגורמת למבנה להיות יותר קליל.        י

Road Trip # 1 יומן מסע

יצאנו לדרך לצלם כתבת אופנה לשבועון ״לאשה״, כתבה שתהיה גם הצעה לטיול בנוסף לאופנה

היה ברור לנו שנצלם בים, על שפת הים. הרי יוני, תחילת הקיץ. חם מאוד ויהיה עוד יותר חם

הצעתי לעמית מכטינגר, הדוגמנית הנהדרת שבחרנו, טיול על חוף נחשולים וצפונה                                

״את מכירה את החוף בג׳סר א-זרקא ?״ שאלה עמית

 כן, את מעדיפה את ג׳סר ? יאללה

נסעתי לעשות סיור מקדים בג׳סר א-זרקא. כבר צילמתי שם, אבל תמיד טוב לבדוק

הישוב עצמו היה שומם למדי. אולי זה היה הרמאדן שהדגיש זאת אבל חוץ מאכסניה חמודה, מינימרקט ובית ספר, הכל נראה שומם ויבש

מצאתי בכל זאת כמה נקודות צבע, אבל לא יותר מדי

שפת הים נראתה הרבה יותר מבטיחה

למען האמת - מבטיחה מאוד. גולת הכותרת היתה בית הקפה שנפתח על החוף ובעליו הבטיח לי שהוא פתוח כל יום

מה שאומר שיהיה לנו קפה ואולי אפילו אוכל

וחוץ מהשיקולים המעשיים האלה החוף יפה להפליא וציורי בסגנון שממש נדיר בישראל 

אם כי ,חשוב לציין, לא מתאים לכל טעם. קצת זרוק, קצת מוזנח, למרות שעובדים על זה במרץ

יצאנו מתל אביב מוקדם ופגשנו את עמית שהגיעה מהמושב שלה, בכניסה לכביש המוביל לג׳סר

התמקמנו בבית הקפה שהיה פתוח כמו שהובטח ובילינו שם עד סוף היום

צילמתי בהתאם לתנועת השמש, עם אור יום בלבד ורפלקטור מדי פעם
 ניסינו להשאר בצל. גם בגלל החום ובעיקר כדי שלא יווצרו צללים על הפנים היפות של עמית

 אבל לפעמים הצללים עושים דווקא צורות יפות, ואפשר לחיות איתם בשלום

We set off to shoot a fashion editorial for Laisha magazine, that  would be a proposal for a road trip in addition to fashion.

It was clear to us that we would shoot at sea, on the seashore. It was June, early summer. It is very hot and will be even hotter once it's published.

I suggested to Amit Machtinger, the wonderful model we had chosen, a trip on Nachsholim and further north along the beach.

"Do you know the beach at Jisr al-Zarqa?" Amit asked

 Yes, you prefer Jisr? Let's go there.

I went to make a preliminary tour of Jisr al-Zarqa. I've already worked there, but it's always good to check.

The small town itself was quite deserted. Perhaps it was the Ramadan that emphasized it but apart from a lovely inn, a mini-market and a school, everything seemed desolate and dry.

I did find some color points, but not too much. 

The seashore seemed much more promising.

As a matter of fact - very promising. The highlight was the cafe that opened on the beach and its owner assured me that it was open every day.

Which means we'll have coffee and maybe even food.

Apart from these practical considerations, the beach is wonderfully beautiful and picturesque in a style that is rare in Israel.
But it's important to note that it is not suitable for every taste. A little dumped, a bit neglected, although they work on it vigorously.

We left Tel Aviv early and met Amit who came from her Moshav at the entrance to the road leading to Jisr.


We settled in the cafe that was open as promised and stayed there for the rest of the day as our base for the photo shoot.

 I photographed according to the movement of the sun, with only daylight and a reflector from time to time.

 We tried to stay in the shade. Partly because of the heat, and especially so that there would not be shadows on Amit's beautiful face.

 But some shadows make beautiful shapes, and you can live with them in peace.


The fishermen were very cooperative and let us photograph them gracefully. The ginger cat was waiting patiently for me too.


As the sun began to lower, we went out to the sea.



And joined the children of Jisr who come to swim in the little lagoons among the rocks on the beach.

Ms Julie - Egyptian cuisine in HaCarmel Market

In one of my recent photo shoots, which took place in Kerem Hateymanim

 the producer had a brilliant idea

 Instead of ordering catering, and us eating from plates on our knees, 

she booked us to a small restaurant

nearby - Julie

My crew filled up all the tables of the little place

And the food was delicious 

I was also charmed by the relaxed atmosphere

And I promised myself to return 

Julie Uzon, chef and owner. " I love smoking" she says

The opportunity occurred yesterday
and after having lunch, I visited the kitchen

And chatted a little with friendly Julie herself

Egyptian dishes, delicately seasoned 

Julie was born in Cairo and came to Israel at the age of seven.

In the restaurant she recreates the tastes and smells of Cairo, 
which is the flower of the Middle East,
she told me .

Generations

The restaurant is located in the heart of Shuk Hacarmel, surrounded by stalls, which make it all the more friendly and inviting.

The staff contains a few very friendly women, including her daughter, which Julie designates to be the heir of her empire.

The restaurant is open for lunch only, and the food is freshly prepared every day.
